New ARS Student Orientation

Welcome to the Fall 2024 semester at Pomona College!
We are excited to have you join us.
Accessibility Resources & Services (ARS) will be hosting an orientation to welcome all new and returning students. Join us to learn about ARS, your accommodation procedures, and get answers to your questions.

Forgot how to request your accommodations for the semester? Need a refresher on how to schedule your exams with the SDRC? Stop by during our drop-in hours!
First 30 students to stop by will receive Stress Relief Coloring Pages and Color Pencils.

September Events
Back to Your Future

We are excited to share that TCCS Student Services will be hosting the Back to Your Future block party on Wednesday, September 18, from 3 pm to 6 pm just south of The Claremont Colleges Library. This year’s block party will be bigger and more exciting than ever! Back to Your Future is a lively outdoor event taking place along 8th Street and College Way. Booths feature free food, student resources, and interactive activities. A DJ/MC will keep the energy high with music, while students stroll through the event. Look out for festive balloon arches and mascots to enhance the fun atmosphere.

Ability Ally Training

Please join the Accessibility Resources & Services Office as we host an Ability Ally Training.
What is the Ability Ally Training?
The Ability Ally Training Program creates a network of faculty, staff, and students who take a visible role in promoting disability awareness by actively supporting people with disabilities and maintaining appropriate resources for working and interacting successfully with people with disabilities.
This training is open to all Pomona students, faculty, and staff. Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP (the last day to RSVP is Monday 9/30 at 5 p.m.). The training is presented in the form of a Kahoot. Upon completion of the training, participants are given the opportunity to sign an Ability Ally pledge and will receive an Ability Ally button and sticker to display.

Dogs On The Quad - Valentine's Edition

Please join us in Athearn Field to meet our furry friends! It'll be the perfect way unwind and enjoy some great company on Valentine's Day. We will provide light snacks and refreshments.
If you have any questions about Accessibility Resources & Services, this would be excellent time to ask and get to know us.

Sagehens! Are you feeling the stress from your upcoming Midterms?
We have the solution for you. Please stop by and say hello to ARS, RA Sarah and our special guests - therapy dogs!
ARS can answer any questions you may have about the services we provide and how we support our students.

All Abilities Walk
The Accessibility Resources & Services Office would like to invite you to the All Abilities Walk!
This event is open to all students, faculty, and staff. First 15 to register for the Walk will receive an event T-shirt and everyone who attends will receive an ARS visor to show your support. We hope to see you there!
